A simpler ClearTax alternative for SMEs without an ERP
ClearTax is an enterprise compliance platform built to integrate SAP, Oracle and Microsoft estates, sold through a demo. We are a RM49/month subscription you start on a card. If you have an ERP estate, they are the right call — and this page will say so more than once.
- 14-day free trial · no credit card
- Published price · no sales call
Both do LHDN e-Invoicing. The difference is how you buy.

Neither product keeps your books. Both sit beside your accounting system. So this is not a scope comparison — it is a question of whether you want a price you can read today or a quote fitted to your volume.
ClearTax may quote you less than we charge. We cannot know, and we are not going to imply otherwise.
We are not an enterprise replacement for ClearTax
If you are running SAP or Oracle across multiple entities and need a vendor accountable for wiring them into MyInvois, we do not compete for that work and would be the wrong choice. ClearTax publishes 150+ data validations, per-error root cause analysis, bulk error resolution, 24/7 support and 300+ Malaysian integrations. We publish a REST API and expect your developer to use it.
Where we are a genuine alternative is the smaller end: a business that arrived at ClearTax because it needs LHDN compliance, has no ERP estate to integrate, and would rather buy a published plan than scope a project.
Choose ClearTax when
- You are a large business integrating SAP, Oracle, Microsoft or a custom-built system — ClearTax publishes “deep expertise in seamless ERP, POS, and source system integration — no matter your stack”.
- You need volume validation depth: ClearTax publishes “150+ data validations”, root cause analysis per error, and bulk error resolution with automatic suggestions.
- You need 24/7 support with a named engagement, not email support on a SaaS plan.
- You want an MDEC-accredited provider with a published track record — ClearTax states “300+ Successful integrations in Malaysia”.
- You need B2B, B2G and B2C flows including returns and cancellations handled as one programme.
- Your procurement expects a negotiated contract and an implementation plan rather than a credit-card subscription.
Choose MyInvoisBridge when
- You want a published price you can budget against today, without a sales call.
- You are an SME whose integration is “one system, or none” — not an ERP estate.
- You want to self-serve: sign up, sandbox, submit, go live, on your own timetable.
- You want to start on a 14-day trial with no credit card rather than scope an implementation.
- Your volume fits a published plan: 100 documents/month on Starter, 500 on Business, 2,000 on Pro.
Public fixed price not found
ClearTax does not publish pricing on its Malaysia site. The route to purchase is “Book a demo”. That is normal for a platform sold as an integration engagement — and it means there is no number for us to compare against.
Pricing for platforms of this kind generally depends on document volume, which source systems need integrating, and how much implementation work is involved. Two businesses can get very different quotes from the same vendor. So the only accurate answer to “what does ClearTax cost?” is: ask them, with your own volume and system list in hand.
You will find third-party blogs quoting ranges for “e-Invoice middleware” in Malaysia. Those are industry generalisations, not ClearTax’s published prices, and repeating them here as though they were would be inventing a competitor’s price. We are not going to do that.
What we can compare is transparency, not amount: our price is on the page and you can budget against it today. Whether ClearTax’s quote for your business is higher or lower than ours is genuinely unknown to us.

Same job, very different machine
Neither ClearTax nor MyInvoisBridge is accounting software. Neither keeps your general ledger. Both take documents and get them accepted by LHDN. In that narrow sense we do the same job, and this is not a scope comparison in the way the AutoCount or SQL Account pages are.
But the machinery around that job is nothing alike. ClearTax is built for volume and complexity: 150+ data validations against each document, root cause analysis explaining precisely why a document failed, bulk error resolution with automatic suggestions when thousands fail at once, B2B, B2G and B2C flows including returns and cancellations, and 24/7 compliance and technology support. They publish 300+ successful integrations in Malaysia and MDEC accreditation.
That is a serious platform, and the features are not decoration. If you are submitting tens of thousands of documents a month out of a system landscape nobody fully remembers building, bulk error resolution is not a nice-to-have — it is the difference between a compliance function and a crisis.
We do not have any of it. We show you the LHDN error; we do not analyse it for you. We validate the fields LHDN requires before submission, which catches the common problems at your desk, but that is a smaller claim than 150+ validations and we are not going to blur the two.
Feature comparison
More cells here read “Not publicly confirmed” than on any other page in this cluster, and that is a fact about ClearTax’s public pages rather than about their product. They publish capability marketing, not plan-level detail. Those cells mean ask them — not no.

REST API, OAuth client credentials and webhooks are available on the MyInvoisBridge Pro plan (RM199/month) and are not included in Starter or Business. “Not publicly confirmed” means the vendor does not state it plainly on their official pages — it is not a “no”, and you should ask them.
The loop, without the platform around it
ClearTax runs this loop too, wrapped in validation depth, integration tooling and a support organisation. Ours is the loop on its own — which is either exactly what you needed, or conspicuously not enough.
Create the document
Raise an invoice, credit note, debit note or refund note in the app, or push it in over the REST API on Pro.
Validate before sending
We check the fields LHDN requires up front, so a rejection is caught at your desk rather than after submission.
Submit to MyInvois
The document is mapped to UBL 2.1 and submitted to LHDN over an authenticated connection — sandbox first, production when you are ready.
Track what happened
Poll status through to Valid or Invalid, with a full event timeline per document, so you can see exactly what LHDN accepted, rejected, or is still processing.
That loop is the entire product. ClearTax runs the same loop. The difference is not what happens to the document — it is what you had to agree to before you could send it.
A demo, or a login
ClearTax publishes “Active in 24 Hours” alongside “300+ Successful integrations in Malaysia”. They do not publish a free trial; the route in is a booked demo.
Ours is a 14-day trial with no credit card and guided onboarding into the LHDN pre-production sandbox. You can submit a test document and watch it come back Valid the same afternoon, without speaking to anyone.
Comparing “24 hours” to “same day” would be a silly race to claim, because the two numbers measure different things. Their 24 hours covers activating a platform against your systems, usually with your IT team involved. Our same-day covers a person signing up and keying in an invoice. If you have systems to integrate, their number is the impressive one.
What transparent pricing looks like
Three plans, three published prices, three published document allowances: 100/month on Starter, 500 on Business, 2,000 on Pro. If your volume is above 2,000 a month, we are the wrong size and a platform that quotes against volume is a more sensible conversation.
Starter
RM49/month
The plan used in the price comparison on this page.
Limited launch offer: about RM34.30/month. Promotion terms and availability may change.
Business
RM99/month
Recommended for growing teams: higher document volume and priority support.
Pro
RM199/month
Adds REST API access, OAuth client credentials, webhooks and self-billed documents.
See full MyInvoisBridge pricing and plan limits, or the REST API documentation for the Pro-plan integration path.
When compliance is an engineering problem
Choose ClearTax if your invoices originate in an ERP estate. They publish “deep expertise in seamless ERP, POS, and source system integration — no matter your stack, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Autocount, SQL or custom-built”. That is the product. Approximating it with our API means your developers building and maintaining the integration themselves, which is a cost most finance teams underestimate.
Choose ClearTax if error handling at volume matters. 150+ data validations, root cause analysis per error and bulk resolution with automatic suggestions are features you only appreciate when 4,000 documents fail at once. We would show you 4,000 errors.
Choose ClearTax if you need 24/7 support with an accountable engagement, or if procurement expects a negotiated contract and an implementation plan rather than a card payment. And choose them if MDEC accreditation is a requirement — they publish it, and we make no such claim on this page.
When there is nothing to integrate
A lot of Malaysian businesses reach an enterprise platform’s website because they searched for “LHDN e-Invoice software”, not because they have an integration problem. If your invoices are raised by people, your books sit with an accountant, and your volume is in the hundreds rather than the tens of thousands, then most of what ClearTax sells is machinery for a problem you do not have.
MyInvoisBridge fits when the whole requirement is: create the document, check it before sending, submit it to LHDN, see what came back. RM49/month, 100 documents, published. If you outgrow that, Business is RM99 and Pro is RM199 with the REST API, OAuth and webhooks.
It also fits when you want to evaluate without a sales process. Some buyers find a demo helpful. Others want to try the thing at 11pm and decide by midnight, and a “Book a demo” button is a wall rather than a service. If that is you, start the trial and find out in an hour.
Smaller retail and services businesses land here most often — real compliance obligations, no ERP, no procurement department.
Who does the integration work
This is the honest heart of the comparison. With ClearTax, the vendor owns the connection into your systems — that is what you are buying, and what the implementation covers. With us, you own it. We publish an API; your developer writes against it.
What that means concretely:
- No pre-built ERP connectors — none at all, for any system. If you need SAP wired to MyInvois without writing code, we cannot do it and ClearTax can.
- REST API — available on Pro, with OAuth client credentials and webhooks, documented publicly so your developer can assess it before you buy.
- CSV import — coming soon, not shipped. Do not plan around it.
- Manual creation — available now, and for a lot of businesses this is the entire integration story.
There is nothing to migrate in either direction: neither product holds your books, and documents already submitted to LHDN live with LHDN.
ClearTax and MyInvoisBridge, answered
How much does ClearTax cost in Malaysia?
ClearTax does not publish a fixed price on its Malaysia site — the route to purchase is “Book a demo”. Public fixed price not found. Pricing for platforms of this kind typically depends on document volume, which source systems need integrating and how much implementation work is involved, so the only accurate answer is to request a quote. You will find third-party blogs quoting ranges for “e-Invoice middleware” generally; those are not ClearTax's published prices and we will not repeat them as if they were.
Is MyInvoisBridge a replacement for ClearTax?
For most ClearTax customers, no — and we are not going to claim otherwise. ClearTax is an enterprise compliance platform built around integrating existing ERP estates, with 150+ data validations, root cause analysis, bulk error resolution and 24/7 support. If you are running SAP or Oracle across multiple entities, that is a different class of engagement and we do not compete for it. Where we are a real alternative is the smaller end: a business that found its way to ClearTax because it needed LHDN compliance, does not have an ERP estate to integrate, and would rather buy a published plan than scope a project.
Is MyInvoisBridge cheaper than ClearTax?
We cannot say, because ClearTax publishes no price. What we can say is that ours is published — RM49, RM99, RM199 per month — and you can read it, budget against it and start on it today without speaking to anyone. Whether that is cheaper than a ClearTax quote for your volume is genuinely unknown to us, and any page that tells you otherwise is guessing.
What does ClearTax do that MyInvoisBridge does not?
Quite a lot, at the enterprise end. They publish deep ERP and POS integration expertise across SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, AutoCount and SQL; 150+ data validations; root cause analysis on each error; bulk error resolution; and 24/7 compliance and technology support. We publish a REST API on our Pro plan and expect your developer to build against it. If you need a vendor to own the integration into a complex system landscape, that is ClearTax's business and not ours.
How quickly can each one be live?
ClearTax publishes “Active in 24 Hours” alongside “300+ Successful integrations in Malaysia”. Ours is a self-serve signup with a 14-day trial and guided LHDN sandbox onboarding — you can be submitting to the sandbox the same day, without a scheduled call. Neither figure tells you much about your own situation: a same-day start on a simple setup and a 24-hour activation on an ERP integration are not the same event, and only one of them involves your IT team.
Is ClearTax MDEC-accredited and is MyInvoisBridge?
ClearTax publishes that it is an MDEC-accredited e-invoicing provider. We do not make that claim for ourselves on this page, and you should not infer it from our absence of comment — if accreditation is a procurement requirement for you, ask us directly rather than assuming either way.
Does ClearTax support self-billed or consolidated invoices?
Not publicly confirmed. ClearTax's Malaysia pages describe B2B, B2G and B2C flows including returns and cancellations, but do not state self-billed or consolidated document support plainly enough for us to record a verdict. That is not a “no” — it means we could not verify it, and you should ask them. On our side: self-billed documents ship on Pro today; consolidated invoices are coming soon and not shipped, so do not buy on the strength of them.
Which should a mid-sized Malaysian business choose?
It depends on whether you have an integration problem or a compliance problem. If your invoices originate in an ERP that must be wired to MyInvois, and you need a vendor accountable for that integration, get a ClearTax quote — that is precisely what they are built for. If your invoices are raised by people, your books are already handled, and you need documents accepted by LHDN with validation and tracking you can see, a published RM49–RM199 plan is a far smaller commitment than an implementation project.
