SQL Account alternative for LHDN e-Invoicing

A focused SQL Account alternative for Malaysian e-Invoicing

SQL Account is one of the most widely used accounting systems in Malaysia, and it already includes LHDN e-Invoice and SST compliance. MyInvoisBridge is a much smaller thing: an e-Invoicing tool from RM49/month for businesses whose books are already handled and who just need documents accepted by LHDN.

Different jobs, different prices. SQL Account costs more because it does more. We cost less because we solve one problem: getting e-Invoices accepted by LHDN.

This is not a like-for-like saving — if you need the accounting, the higher price is buying you something real.

Which one is for you?

Half of these answers point at SQL Account

SQL is a complete accounting system with e-Invoice included, sold with a year of phone support and monthly training. If you are moving your books into it, you do not need us on top. Pick the line that sounds like your business.

MyInvoisBridge fits

Your books are not the problem — LHDN is. Keep what you have and add e-Invoicing beside it, from RM49/month, with no migration.

The short answer

This choice usually comes down to whether you are replacing your accounting or just filling the LHDN gap

We are for the business that has no intention of moving its books anywhere.

Choose SQL Account when

  • You want one of Malaysia's most widely deployed SME accounting systems — most local accountants already know how to work in it.
  • You need full double-entry books, SST reporting and statutory financial statements from the same system that raises your invoices.
  • You value bundled human support: SQL publishes 1 year of phone support and monthly training with its plans.
  • You want inventory, purchasing and bank reconciliation in one integrated product.
  • Long-term price certainty matters to you — SQL publishes a 10-year price guarantee and no lock-in contract.

Choose MyInvoisBridge when

  • You already have an accountant or a system handling your books and do not want a second one.
  • You want to try e-Invoicing yourself this afternoon rather than booking a demo to get started.
  • You want a lower entry price when e-Invoicing is the only gap: RM49/month against SQL's RM79/month.
  • You want create, validate, submit and tracking, with a clear view of what LHDN accepted or rejected.

Promotion currently running: MyInvoisBridge is offering 30% off as a limited-time launch offer, which reduces the Starter plan below the RM49 list price shown above for as long as the offer lasts. The comparison on this page deliberately uses our list price, not the promotional price, so that it stays a like-for-like comparison against the competitor’s regular published rate. Last verified: 15 July 2026 against SQL Account — official pricing and SQL Cloud Accounting — plan features.

RM79/month is the published Essential rate, with a “10 Years Price Guarantee” and no lock-in contract.

SQL does not publish an annual rate for Cloud Essential on its pricing page, so there is no annual-equivalent figure to compare and we do not invent one.

SQL publishes a 10-year price guarantee and states there is no lock-in contract — genuine long-term price certainty that most SaaS vendors, us included, do not offer.

Prices and plan features may change. Verify the latest information directly with each provider before purchasing.

The number that moves this comparison most is not the RM79 — it is the RM60 per additional user. SQL publishes Essential as a single-user base plan, so a three-person office is RM79 plus two seats, around RM199/month. MyInvoisBridge’s Starter plan includes up to 2 users at RM49, and higher plans include more, with no published per-seat add-on.

That gap widens with headcount — but read it carefully, because it is not a like-for-like seat. An SQL seat is a seat in your accounting system, with access to your ledger, your reports and your SST filings. A MyInvoisBridge seat is a seat in an e-Invoicing tool. Paying RM60 for the former and RM0 for the latter is not the vendors pricing the same thing differently; it is two different things.

Two more things SQL publishes that deserve credit rather than spin: a 10-year price guarantee, and no lock-in contract. Price certainty over a decade is a genuine commitment that most SaaS vendors — us included — do not offer. If you have been burned by renewal increases, weigh that seriously.

REST API, OAuth client credentials and webhooks are available on the MyInvoisBridge Pro plan (RM199/month) and are not included in Starter or Business. “Not publicly confirmed” means the vendor does not state it plainly on their official pages — it is not a “no”, and you should ask them.

LHDN e-Invoice workflow

The whole product, in four steps

SQL Account performs its own LHDN submission as one feature of a full accounting system, with SST compliance beside it. Ours is the same loop with nothing else attached.

01

Create the document

Raise an invoice, credit note, debit note or refund note in the app, or push it in over the REST API on Pro.

02

Validate before sending

We check the fields LHDN requires up front, so a rejection is caught at your desk rather than after submission.

03

Submit to MyInvois

The document is mapped to UBL 2.1 and submitted to LHDN over an authenticated connection — sandbox first, production when you are ready.

04

Track what happened

Poll status through to Valid or Invalid, with a full event timeline per document, so you can see exactly what LHDN accepted, rejected, or is still processing.

That loop is the entire product. SQL Account runs its own e-Invoice submission inside a much larger accounting system — if you are already working in it, that path is likely the one to use.

Plans and pricing

Which MyInvoisBridge plan the SQL Account comparison uses

RM49 vs RM79 is Starter against SQL’s entry Cloud Essential plan. We compare entry to entry rather than reaching for a mid-tier plan that would flatter either side.

Starter

RM49/month

The plan used in the price comparison on this page.

Limited launch offer: about RM34.30/month. Promotion terms and availability may change.

Recommended

Business

RM99/month

Recommended for growing teams: higher document volume and priority support.

Pro

RM199/month

Adds REST API access, OAuth client credentials, webhooks and self-billed documents.

See full MyInvoisBridge pricing and plan limits, or the REST API documentation if you want your own system to drive submissions on Pro.

Price versus scope

RM30/month apart, and not the same purchase

SQL Account gives you a broader accounting system. MyInvoisBridge costs less at entry because it solves a narrower problem: LHDN e-Invoicing. You keep your existing books and use MyInvoisBridge for validation, submission and tracking.

Look closely at what RM79 includes and the gap gets smaller than it first appears. SQL bundles a year of phone support and monthly training into that price. Support you can phone, from a vendor whose software your accountant probably already knows, has real value — particularly during a compliance transition where the cost of getting it wrong is measured in rejected documents and LHDN deadlines, not ringgit.

Put plainly: if you are going to end up buying accounting software within the next year anyway, buying it now at RM79 and getting e-Invoice included is very likely the better decision than paying us RM49 and buying SQL later as well.

When SQL Account is the better choice

SQL’s install base is a real advantage

There is an argument for SQL Account that no feature table captures: most Malaysian accountants already know it. If your external accountant works in SQL every day, handing them a SQL file is frictionless in a way that no amount of product design on our side can replicate. That familiarity is worth money, and it is a legitimate reason to choose them.

Choose SQL Account if you need full bookkeeping, a general ledger, inventory, purchasing, bank reconciliation, SST reporting and statutory financial statements from one integrated system — with e-Invoice already part of it. Choose it too if you want a human on the phone during the transition, or if the 10-year price guarantee matters to how you budget.

If your accounting is genuinely outgrowing spreadsheets, SQL solves two problems at once. Paying RM79 for one system will usually beat paying RM49 for us plus something else for the books.

When MyInvoisBridge is the better fit

When your books are already someone else’s job

The clearest fit: your accountant already does your books — possibly in SQL Account themselves — and you have no desire to run an accounting system in-house. You do not need a general ledger on your own screen. You need e-Invoices that LHDN accepts, and visibility into which ones did not.

There is a second, more practical fit. SQL’s published route to trying it is a booked demo. That suits buyers who want walking through. If you would rather sign up this afternoon, submit a test document to the LHDN sandbox yourself and decide based on what you saw, that is what our 14-day trial is for. Neither approach is better — they suit different buyers, and you probably already know which one you are.

Developers integrating from an existing system will want our REST API (Pro plan), with OAuth client credentials and webhooks. Accounting firms filing on behalf of clients have their own setup path.

Migration

Keep your existing accounting system

Adopting MyInvoisBridge is not a migration. There is nothing to move, because we do not hold your books — no chart of accounts, no opening balances, no historical transactions. If you use SQL Account today and want to keep using it, keep using it.

How documents reach us today:

  • Manual invoice creation — available now.
  • REST API integration — available now on the Pro plan, with OAuth client credentials and webhooks.
  • Custom adapters — buildable by your developer against our API.
  • CSV import coming soon. Not available yet, so do not plan around it.

There is no native SQL Account connector. No one-click sync, no certified plugin. Moving data across means an API integration someone builds. Our SQL Account integration notes describe the realistic options.

FAQ

SQL Account and MyInvoisBridge, answered

Is MyInvoisBridge cheaper than SQL Account?

On entry price, yes: MyInvoisBridge Starter is RM49/month against RM79/month for SQL Account's Cloud Essential, verified on 15 July 2026. The products are not equivalent though — Essential is a complete accounting system with SST compliance and a year of bundled phone support, and MyInvoisBridge is an e-Invoicing tool. The useful question is not which is cheaper but which scope you need.

Is MyInvoisBridge a replacement for SQL Account?

No. SQL Account keeps your general ledger, inventory, purchasing, bank reconciliation and financial statements. MyInvoisBridge keeps none of them. If SQL is where your books live, keep them there.

Can I keep SQL Account and use MyInvoisBridge just for e-Invoicing?

Yes — MyInvoisBridge is designed to sit alongside an existing system. Bear in mind SQL includes LHDN e-Invoice and SST compliance in its own plans, so running both is a deliberate choice, usually made when you want our validation and tracking workflow or our API in front of LHDN.

How do the user costs compare?

SQL publishes RM60/month per additional user, but does not publish how many users the RM79 Essential base includes — so we cannot give you a like-for-like seat comparison, and we will not guess. MyInvoisBridge Starter includes up to 2 users and Business includes more, with no published per-seat add-on. Ask SQL for their included-user count before you model your headcount.

Does MyInvoisBridge do SST reporting or financial statements like SQL?

No. There is no SST reporting, no financial statements and no general ledger in MyInvoisBridge. Those are genuine reasons to choose SQL Account.

Can I try MyInvoisBridge without booking a demo?

Yes. There is a self-serve 14-day trial with no credit card and guided sandbox onboarding. SQL's published route is a free RM0 demo booked through their site, which suits buyers who want to be walked through it — a real preference difference rather than a shortcoming.

Does MyInvoisBridge have an API?

Yes, on the Pro plan at RM199/month: a REST API with OAuth client credentials and webhooks. It is not part of Starter (RM49) or Business (RM99). We make no claims about SQL Account's API on their behalf.

Which is better for a small B2B business?

If your books are handled and you only need to get compliant with LHDN, MyInvoisBridge is the lighter, lower-cost start. If you are also outgrowing spreadsheets for your actual accounting, SQL Account solves both problems at once, and RM79/month for one system may well beat paying for two.

Need e-Invoicing, not another accounting migration?

Keep the books where they are. Start submitting to LHDN in the sandbox today, and go live when you are ready.
