Financio alternative for LHDN e-Invoicing

A Financio alternative when 25 e-Invoices a month is not enough

Financio Accounting Essentials is RM50/month and caps LHDN e-Invoicing at 25 per month. MyInvoisBridge Starter is RM49 with 100 per month. The ringgit is not the story — the volume is. And above 2,000 a month, the story flips back to them.

Different jobs, different prices. Financio costs more because it does more. We cost less because we solve one problem: getting e-Invoices accepted by LHDN.

This is not a like-for-like saving — if you need the accounting, the higher price is buying you something real.

The short answer

Ignore the RM1. Count your invoices instead

Financio Essentials is RM50 and ours is RM49. That difference is meaningless and we are not going to build a page on it. What matters is that their RM50 buys a full accounting system with a 25/month e-Invoice cap, and our RM49 buys e-Invoicing only, with 100/month.

So: if you need accounting, Financio at RM50 is obviously the better buy — it does everything we do plus books, for a ringgit more. The only reason to pick us is if your books are already handled and your volume sits above 25 a month.

Choose Financio when

  • You need real accounting: Financio keeps your books, and we do not.
  • You want payroll from the same vendor — Financio publishes Payroll Essentials at RM75/month for up to 30 employees and Premier at RM135/month for up to 200.
  • Your e-Invoice volume is high: Accounting Premier publishes 5,000 LHDN e-Invoices per month at RM85, well above our Pro plan's 2,000 at RM199.
  • You want AI document scanning — 5 scans on Essentials, 50 on Premier — with no equivalent on our side.
  • You want multi-currency and multi-location inventory, both on Premier.
  • You want a 30-day trial of the top tier before deciding.

Choose MyInvoisBridge when

  • Your monthly e-Invoice volume sits between 25 and 100 — Financio Essentials caps LHDN e-Invoicing at 25/month at RM50; our Starter allows 100/month at RM49.
  • You do not need accounting, payroll or inventory, and would rather not pay for a books system you will not open.
  • You need a documented REST API with OAuth and webhooks — Financio's pricing page states no API.
  • You need self-billed documents for suppliers who cannot issue their own e-Invoices — live on our Pro plan, and not something Financio's pricing page mentions.
  • Your books already work and the only gap is LHDN compliance.

The comparison that actually decides this

Financio is one of the few vendors in this cluster to publish hard per-plan LHDN e-Invoice limits, which makes a genuinely like-for-like comparison possible. It does not go one way.

Financio’s figures are from their published Malaysia pricing page, verified 16 July 2026: Essentials allows 25 LHDN e-Invoices and 20 invoices per month; Premier allows 5,000 LHDN e-Invoices with unlimited invoices. Ours are the published plan limits: 100, 500 and 2,000 documents per month.

Read that table honestly and we win exactly one band: 25 to 100 e-Invoices a month, for businesses that do not need accounting. That is a real segment — plenty of service businesses issue forty or fifty invoices a month and have an accountant handling the books — but it is one band out of four.

Above 100 a month, Financio Premier at RM85 does more than our Business at RM99 and costs less. Above 2,000, our Pro plan simply runs out while Premier keeps going to 5,000. If you are a high-volume issuer, we are not the value option and there is no honest way to present the numbers otherwise.

Last verified: 16 July 2026 against Financio — pricing (Malaysia).

RM50/month is Financio's regular monthly rate for Accounting Essentials — RM1/month above our RM49 Starter. That RM1 gap is not a reason to choose either product and we do not build an argument on it. The limits below are what actually differ.

Financio publishes RM550/year for Accounting Essentials against a standard annual rate of RM600 — about RM46/month on an annual term, versus RM50 billed monthly. Accounting Premier is RM935/year against a RM1,020 standard rate.

Monthly and annual billing are published, plus separate Payroll plans (Essentials RM75/month, Premier RM135/month) sold alongside Accounting. Financio also advertises a promotional rate of RM5/month on Accounting Essentials with code “RM5ACCESS” — a promotion, not the regular rate, and not the basis of any comparison here.

Prices and plan features may change. Verify the latest information directly with each provider before purchasing.

Financio advertises RM5/month on Accounting Essentials with the code “RM5ACCESS”. We compare against their regular RM50 instead, because comparing our list price to their promotional rate — in either direction — would be an unlabelled promo-versus-regular comparison. If that promotion is live when you buy and you qualify, take it; it is a better price than anything on this page.

Financio also sells payroll separately: Essentials at RM75/month for up to 30 employees, Premier at RM135/month for up to 200. We do not do payroll. If you want accounting, payroll and e-Invoicing from one vendor, Financio is a coherent answer and we are not part of that conversation.

One asymmetry worth naming: Financio’s pricing page states no SST treatment either way, and ours states that prices exclude SST where applicable. So we cannot tell you whether their RM50 is tax-inclusive. Ask them before you compare all-in totals.

Product scope

A ringgit apart, and nothing alike

RM49 and RM50 look like the same purchase. They are not remotely the same purchase. Financio Accounting Essentials is a cloud accounting system: it keeps your books, tracks purchase bills, handles inventory in one location, scans documents with AI, and reports on all of it. MyInvoisBridge keeps no books at all.

The RM1 is a coincidence of pricing, not a signal about value. If both products fit your needs, Financio is obviously the better deal — you would be getting an accounting system thrown in for a ringgit. The question is whether both products fit your needs, and for a business whose accounting is already settled, an accounting system is not a bonus feature. It is a second place for your invoices to live.

Where the products genuinely diverge is at the edges: their AI document scanning and multi-currency, which we do not have, against our REST API, webhooks and self-billed documents, which their pricing page does not mention.

Financio wins the whole accounting-scope group, plus payroll and AI scanning. Those rows are the reason a business at your stage might correctly ignore everything else on this page.

LHDN e-Invoice workflow

Four steps, no accounting attached

Financio runs its e-Invoicing inside the accounting product, which is why the 25/month cap on Essentials exists at all — e-Invoicing is a metered feature there. Here it is the product.

01

Create the document

Raise an invoice, credit note, debit note or refund note in the app, or push it in over the REST API on Pro.

02

Validate before sending

We check the fields LHDN requires up front, so a rejection is caught at your desk rather than after submission.

03

Submit to MyInvois

The document is mapped to UBL 2.1 and submitted to LHDN over an authenticated connection — sandbox first, production when you are ready.

04

Track what happened

Poll status through to Valid or Invalid, with a full event timeline per document, so you can see exactly what LHDN accepted, rejected, or is still processing.

That loop is the entire product. Financio runs its own e-Invoice submission inside a much larger accounting system — if you are already working in it, that path is likely the one to use.

Trial and onboarding

Theirs is 30 days, ours is 14

Financio publishes a 30-day free trial of Premier features — their higher tier, including the 5,000/month e-Invoice allowance and multi-currency. Ours is 14 days with no credit card and guided onboarding into the LHDN sandbox.

If trial length alone decides it, Financio wins that row and we are not going to spin it. What ours is built for is answering one question quickly: do your documents pass LHDN validation? You can find that out in the pre-production sandbox on day one, before anything real is submitted.

When Financio is the better choice

Books, payroll, or serious volume

Choose Financio if you need accounting. At RM50 against our RM49, you are getting a books system for a ringgit. There is no argument to make here — if the accounting is useful to you, buy it.

Choose Financio if you need payroll. Essentials at RM75/month covers up to 30 employees, Premier at RM135 covers up to 200. We do not do payroll and never will, so a business needing accounting, payroll and e-Invoicing from one vendor has a clear answer and it is not us.

Choose Financio if your e-Invoice volume is high. Premier publishes 5,000 LHDN e-Invoices a month at RM85. Our Pro plan publishes 2,000 at RM199. For a high-volume issuer that is not close, and we would rather you knew it now than discovered it after signing up.

Choose Financio if AI document scanning would save you real time, or if you need multi-currency or multi-location inventory. All published on their plans; none on ours.

When MyInvoisBridge is the better fit

One band, and one integration path

The clearest case for us is narrow and specific: your books are already handled, and you issue between 25 and 100 e-Invoices a month. Financio Essentials caps at 25, so that volume pushes you to Premier at RM85 — for an accounting system you did not want. Our Starter covers it at RM49 and does nothing else.

The second case is integration. We publish a REST API with OAuth client credentials and webhooks on Pro at RM199/month. Financio’s pricing page states no API. We will not assert its absence for them — ask — but if driving submissions from your own system matters, that is a question worth settling before you choose.

The third is self-billed documents, live on our Pro plan. If you buy from suppliers who cannot issue their own e-Invoices, the self-billed invoice guide covers what LHDN expects.

Businesses in professional services land in that 25–100 band regularly — steady monthly billing, an accountant on retainer, no appetite for a second system.

Migration

Keep your existing accounting system

Adopting Financio means moving your books into it — chart of accounts, balances, purchase history. Adopting MyInvoisBridge means none of that, because we do not keep books. If your accounting already works, that difference is the entire argument.

How documents get in today:

  • Manual creation — available now, on every plan.
  • REST API — available now on Pro, with OAuth client credentials and webhooks.
  • CSV import — coming soon. Not shipped, so do not buy on the strength of it.

There is no native Financio connector, and none is planned. Financio includes LHDN e-Invoice in its own plans anyway, so running both would usually be duplication rather than a workflow.

FAQ

Financio and MyInvoisBridge, answered

Is MyInvoisBridge cheaper than Financio?

By RM1 a month at entry — RM49 against RM50 — and that is not a reason to choose anything. A RM1 difference is noise, and any page that builds an argument on it is wasting your time. What actually differs is what you get: Financio's RM50 is a full accounting system, and our RM49 is e-Invoicing only. Compare the limits and the scope, not the ringgit.

How many e-Invoices does each plan allow?

This is the comparison that matters, and it is genuinely close. Financio Accounting Essentials publishes 25 LHDN e-Invoices per month at RM50. Our Starter publishes 100 per month at RM49. So at the entry level we allow four times the e-Invoice volume for a ringgit less — but Financio's RM50 also buys you accounting, which ours does not. Above that the picture flips: Financio Premier publishes 5,000 e-Invoices per month at RM85, while our Pro tops out at 2,000 at RM199. If you are a high-volume issuer, Financio is substantially better value on that axis and we would rather tell you than let you find out later.

Which is better if I only send a handful of invoices a month?

If you send fewer than 25 e-Invoices a month and you also need accounting, Financio Essentials at RM50 covers both and we would be the wrong purchase. If you send fewer than 25 and your books are already handled, our Starter at RM49 does the compliance job without the accounting system attached. The volume question only becomes decisive between 25 and 100 per month, where Financio Essentials runs out and we do not.

Does Financio do payroll and does MyInvoisBridge?

Financio does, as a separate product line: Payroll Essentials at RM75/month for up to 30 employees, Premier at RM135/month for up to 200. We do not do payroll and never will. If you want accounting, payroll and e-Invoicing from one vendor, Financio is a coherent answer and we are not.

What is the RM5 promotional price on Financio?

Financio advertises RM5/month on Accounting Essentials with the code “RM5ACCESS”. That is a promotional rate, not their regular price, and we deliberately compare against their regular RM50 instead — comparing our list price to their promo, or theirs to ours, would be an unlabelled promo-versus-regular comparison in someone's favour. If the promotion is live when you buy and you qualify, it is obviously worth taking. Check their terms for how long it applies.

Do I need to migrate my accounts to use either one?

For Financio, yes in practice — it is an accounting system, so getting value from it means moving your chart of accounts and balances into it. For MyInvoisBridge, no: there is nothing to migrate because we never hold your books. That is the core trade. If your accounting already works, migrating it to gain e-Invoicing is a large amount of work for a small amount of compliance.

Does Financio have an API?

Their pricing page does not state one, and we will not assert its absence for them — ask Financio directly if integration matters to you. Ours is published: REST API with OAuth client credentials and webhooks on Pro at RM199/month, with public documentation.

How do the trials compare?

Financio publishes 30 days of Premier features; we publish 14 days with no credit card and guided LHDN sandbox onboarding. Theirs is longer and covers more product. Ours is aimed at proving the LHDN submission path works before you commit. If trial length alone decides it, Financio wins that row.

Need e-Invoicing, not another accounting migration?

Keep the books where they are. Start submitting to LHDN in the sandbox today, and go live when you are ready.
